In 2014 the Austrian NCP received a request for review from a trade union alleging that a multinational enterprise had breached the employment and industrial relations provisions of the Guidelines in Austria.
While the NCP was undertaking an initial assessment of the specific instance the trade union withdrew their request. This was because company and the employee representatives had reached an agreement on a social plan for the next 5 year period. The NCP accordingly concluded the specific instance.
