Summary | Read the final statement issued by the Australian NCP - 13 December 2019 On 20 June 2019, the International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers' Associations (IUF) submitted a specific instance alleging that Coca-Cola Amatil’s (CCA) management in its Indonesian bottling and distribution facilities had been targeting elected union officials in disciplinary and dismissal processes. The IUF had previously raised similar issues in a complaint to the U.S. NCP against The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC). TCCC involved two senior members of CCA’s corporate team in the subsequent mediation process, which concluded in early 2019. The IUF’s key stated objective for both the U.S. and Australian NCP processes was for the two individuals, no longer employed by CCA, to be returned to their original positions. On 13 December 2019, the NCP published its final statement not accepting the case. The NCP concluded that IUF did not raise materially different issues nor identify objectives different from those sought from the U.S. NCP process, and that duplicating the U.S. NCP process by bringing the parties together once again to re-examine these issues would not contribute to the purposes and effectiveness of the OECD Guidelines. The NCP therefore did not accept this complaint. #caused #contributed #FACB #hospitality #coordination #fortune500 |
