On 3 March 2020, an individual submitted a specific instance to the Colombian NCP alleging that a financial and insurance company operating in Colombia had not observed the Human Rights (Chapter IV) provisions of the OECD Guidelines. The submitter claimed to be the beneficiary of a survival pension from a late person who worked in Colombia and Ecuador and that the financial and insurance company was not respecting the provisions of a bilateral social security agreement between Colombia and Ecuador. Upon completing the initial assessment in July 2020, the Colombian NCP decided to not accept the specific instance, concluding that the issues raised in this specific instance fell outside the competencies of an NCP and outside the scope and purpose of the OECD Guidelines. On 24 September 2020, the Colombian NCP published its initial assessment. |
