Summary | Read the Initial Statement published by the NCP on 25 February 2025: English On 15 October 2024, Young Woong Byun and another individual submitted a specific instance to the Korean NCP alleging that Oxy Reckitt Benckiser, a local subsidiary of British conglomerate Reckitt Benckiser, which produces health, hygiene and nutrition products, had not observed the General Policies (Chapter II), Human Rights (Chapter IV), Combating Bribery and Other Forms of Corruption (Chapter VII) and Consumer Interests (Chapter VIII) provisions of the Guidelines. Specifically, the issues concerned alleged health damages suffered by the submitters as a result of using a humidifier disinfectant manufactured and sold by the company. On 25 February 2025, the Korean NCP published its initial assessment, deciding to accept the case for further examination. The NCP will make an offer of good offices to the parties involved. #caused #remedy #civilandpoliticalrights #bribery #lobbying #deceptivemarketing #consumerhealthandsafety #healthcare #coordination #parallelproceedings #fact-finding #localsubsidiary |
