| Summary | Read the Final Statement published by the NCP 10 September 2024: English On 14 July 2015, the NGO Wider Earthquake Canterbury Network (WECAN), on behalf of an individual, submitted a specific instance to the NZ NCP alleging that an enterprise active in the financial and insurance activities sector had not observed the General Policies (Chapter II) and Human Rights (Chapter IV) provisions of the Guidelines. Specifically, issues related to the company’s handling of the insurance claim concerning earthquake-related damages to the individual’s property in Christchurch following the events of the 2010 and 2011 Canterbury earthquakes.
