| Summary | Read the Final Statement published by the NCP 10 September 2024: English On 5 October 2015, the NGO Wider Earthquake Canterbury Network (WECAN), on behalf of an individual, submitted a specific instance to the NZ NCP alleging that an enterprise active in the construction sector had not observed the General Policies (Chapter II) and Human Rights (Chapter IV) provisions of the Guidelines. Specifically, issues related to the company’s contracted project management role over repairs to the individual’s property following the events of the Canterbury earthquakes in 2010 and 2011. The NZ NCP received ten specific instances related to the earthquakes.
