Summary | In February 2001, the US NCP received a request for a review from a trade union alleging that a US multinational enterprise was breaching the employment and industrial relations provisions of the Guidelines in the maritime sector. After lengthy consultations with the US National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the parties, the NCP concluded that its further involvement was not warranted. A large factor in this decision was the NLRB's availability to consider the matter on the basis of US labour law. #nationallaw #FACB #shippingandlogistics #coordination #agreement |
