Summary | In January 2011, the US received a request for review by the trade union Uniting Food, Farm and Hotel Workers World-Wide (IUF) alleging that the activities of Roquette America, an American subsidiary of Roquette Freres, a French multinational enterprise had breached the disclosure and employment and industrial relations provisions of the Guidelines. In February 2011 the French NCP received the same request and it was decided that the US NCP should take the lead. After analysing the specific instance however, the US NCP concluded that it did not merit further consideration as the issues raised were not amenable to resolution under the Guidelines. The parties eventually concluded an agreement among themselves, and the French NCP issued a public statement | en français welcoming this outcome. #pharmaceuticals #coordination #localsubsidiary #agreement |
