Concepts and principles

Green square 25 x 25 The first chapter of the Guidelines sets out concepts and principles that put into context all of the recommendations in the subsequent chapters. These concepts and principles (e.g. obeying domestic law is the first obligation of enterprises) are the backbone of the Guidelines and underline the fundamental ideas behind the Guidelines.
